The Program

If you are serious about being a creative artist I may be able to -

  • Help you to discover your potential and capability as an artist
  • Assist you to find strategies that will enable you to become a more effective artist
  • Encourage you to be a responsible and independent artist.
The one on one mentoring program is a short term project to help you to achieve your goals. Mentoring will enable you to deepen your understanding of the artistic challenges ahead and to improve your performance as an artist.

During each mentoring meeting, you can choose the focus of the discussion, while I listen and contribute observations and options for you to consider. Mentoring accelerates your progress by providing greater focus and awareness of opportunities and options for improvement.

I can help you to focus on where you are now and what you are willing to do to get where you want to be as an artist, recognising that results are a matter of your intentions, choices and actions.

My mentoring is for those who want to be serious artists, who already know their goals, but need mentoring support to help them to achieve them.

A lifetime of experience in helping others to achieve, enables me to confidently work with you to achieve your creative goals.

Find meaning and direction in your creative activities
  • Plan your career as an artist
  • Develop strategies that will lead to your satisfaction as an artist
  • Help you to "see" as an artist
  • Objectively analyse and improve your paintings
  • Find painting techniques, materials and procedures to support your painting goals
  • Start plan or new creative ventures
  • Introduce marketing options for your paintings including selling on E-Bay, Face Book and Blogs
  • To overcome possible procrastination and stagnation
During the first mentoring session we will assess whether I will be able to meet your needs and expectations as an artist, and that we will be able to work together.

Mentoring sessions are usually held in the painting studio at Ellis House Community Art Centre 116 Milne St Bayswater on Wednesdays between 10.00am and 4.00pm. You may need to bring your own painting materials and equipment.

Alternatively, mentoring can be by a combination of email and telephone. You will need to email images of your work.

If the mentoring does not meet expectations, either one of us can withdraw or suggest changes at any time.

Early in my career I gained extensive experience as a manager in private industry and later as an industry adviser for small business. My experience included, strategic planning, and market planning for small business owners.

As a business consultant I assisted many small business owners to develop their business. As a business mentor and lifestyl coach I assisted individuals to plan and achieve meaningful and careers and lifestyles
More recently I have achieved success as a visual artist, developing my impressionistic style of painting and painting techniques. I am an award winning artist and have sold hundreds of paintings in art galleries and the electronic medium.
I have provided painting demonstrations to art societies and regularly offer informal advice and mentoring to individual artists.

I am now pleased to be able share my learning and experience during this mentoring program.
